Assistant Teacher A bachelors degree in education or related field is required.  The teaching environment includes small class sizes with an assistant teacher assigned to each classroom. 

Behavioral Assistant/Assistant Teacher -  A bachelors degree is required, and experience with autism, behavioral based training and data collection is a plus.

Building Engineer/Custodial Manager - This position encompasses responsibility for performing comprehensive preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspection of mechanical systems and structural components of buildings and equipment, troubleshooting problems, assisting in determining work priorities, planning and scheduling of assignments, supervising a part time custodian and some cleaning, preparing reports reflecting daily operations and project status, and ensuring that adequate supplies, materials, and equipment are maintained.  Scheduled work week is based on 40 hours including the hours of Monday-Friday 1:00PM-7:00PM, and at least 6 hours on weekends.  

Qualified candidate should have related work experience in maintenance and/or preventive building maintenance work.  Must be able to lift weight up to 70 pounds at heights using ladders or lifts.  Additional responsibilities will include supervising and filling in for custodial staff, managing adverse weather or temperature conditions, including light snow duty.  Candidate should have a practical working knowledge of electro-mechanical devices, hydraulics, plumbing, lighting systems, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanics as related to the types of equipment and systems which are in the buildings under his or her supervision.  Experience in carpet and floor care as well as interior painting is preferred.  Basic computer skills to include word processing and email.  Candidate must possess a valid MD driver's license. 

Occupational Therapist - Seeking school-based OT.  Experience with SI is preferred.  A Maryland OT license is required; individuals with a COTA will be considered.

Physical Therapist - Seeking dedicated and professional part time physical therapist.  One day per week to include delivery of service as mandated by the IEP, as well as the writing and tracking of physical therapy goals on the IEP.  Candidate will be able to choose the hours and day for delivery of service.  The Harbour School environment includes small class sizes with supportive staff and wonderful students.  

Social Worker - Responsibilities include working with students to enhance social skills, and meeting clinical IEP goals via one on one and group counseling.  All candidates must have a current Maryland DHMH license and a minimum of LGSW. Supervision is available.

Substitute Teacher - Seeking reliable substitute teachers.  A BA in Education or related field required.  The teaching environment includes small class sizes with two teaching staff assigned to each classroom.  The substitute assists the teacher in the classroom.

Teacher - High School Math - A minimum of a bachelors degree in education or related field is required, with a background in math.  Certification in special education is preferred.  The teaching environment includes small class sizes with an assistant teacher assigned to each classroom.

Teacher - High School Reading/ELA - Seeking a high school reading/English language arts teacher.  A minimum of a bachelors degree in education or a related field is required.  Certification in special education is preferred.  The teaching environment includes small class sizes with an assistant teacher assigned to each classroom.

Teacher - Physical Education - Seeking a Physical/Recreation Education teacher.  Due to the needs of our students, a working knowledge of adaptive PE is required.  Background with special needs students is a plus.  Additional staffing to assist with instruction is provided.

Teacher - High School Social Studies - A minimum of a bachelors degree in education or a related field is required with a background in social studies.  Certification in special education is preferred.  The teaching environment includes small class sizes with an assistant teacher assigned to each classroom.

Transition Specialist - Qualified candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree and a background in adult services for special needs and/or high school special education transition services, with a firm understanding of adult services and agencies for people with disabilities.  Valid driver's license and an excellent driving record is required.  Duties will include preparing students for job seeking skills, preparing, monitoring and coordinating job coaching activities, informing families of community resources, preparing students for transition after high school to college, vocational programs, day programs and adult services, working with families to access post-secondary agencies, and assessing students' job related strengths and areas of need through interest inventory and other assessments.

Vocational Assistant - Landscaping - Seeking a candidate with knowledge of plants/trees and maintenance of landscaping equipment.  Supervisory experience and a willingness to teach entry level landscaping skills to our students is required.

Vocation Assistant - Office Practice - Seeking a candidate with strong administrative background working with office equipment, InDesign, and other graphic programs.  This is an instructional position working with special needs high school students in a vocational setting.  Candidate must be able to meet design and print deadlines throughout an 11 month school year.

Event Assistant - Seeking administrative assistant for fundraising events.  This is a full time position assisting the program director in planning annual fundraising events.  Qualified candidates must be comfortable working with volunteers, securing and working with vendors and must have experience on computers.

Job Coach - Qualified candidate must have a minimum of a bachelors degree, experience working with high school students with special needs, preferably with community instructional experiences.  Valid drivers license with an excellent driving record is required.  Must be able to work independently in fast-paced environment.  Responsibilities will include transporting students to work placements, onsite job training, evaluation of students' progress and documentation.

Teacher - High School English - Seeking a high school reading/English language arts teacher.  A minimum of a bachelors degree in education or a related field is required.  Certification in special education is preferred.  The teaching environment includes small class sizes with an assistant teacher assigned to each classroom.

Teacher - High School Science - Seeking high school science teacher.  A minimum of a bachelor's degree in education or science and teaching certification is required.  Experience with special needs is preferred.  Position is available June 28, 2018 for the 2018-2019 school year.
