Assistant Teacher - Assistant teachers at Harbour are active participants in the teaching/learning process and an integral part of each classroom's teaching team. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree, preferably in education or human services. Duties include providing instruction under the supervision of the lead teacher, assisting with classroom management, implementing lessons, and working directly with students, developing social skills as well as assisting with social emotional learning. Librarian/Media Specialist - Seeking a qualified Librarian/Media Specialist for the school media center at our Annapolis campus. Candidate must have a background in library science. Candidate should have experience in creation of unique and engaging programming for students with special needs in grades 1-12. Duties include facilitating activities for students and staff that encourage use of the media center, working collaboratively to ensure that the media collection meets Maryland State Department of Education guidelines and serves as a resource for staff and students. The Librarian/Media Specialist will also research and purchase new material for the media collection. This position is part of a dynamic team working toward creating exceptional educational outcomes for students with special needs.
School Social Worker - If you have a passion for helping special education students in grades 1-12 and want to work with a highly skilled Clinical team, Harbour offers a great environment. The successful candidate for this position will have a thorough understanding of student populations, SEL and mental health issues that impact special needs students and will be capable of developing treatment plans that are tailored to the needs of the student. Candidates should also be passionate about sharing their knowledge to improve a student's educational and social growth with families and a dynamic team of professionals. A masters degree in social work is required. Supervision for a LMSW is available on site if needed. Funding is also available for CEUs. Ability to work with a variety of students, families and team members is a must.
Responsibilities:
Substitute Teacher - Part time, on call position. A bachelors degree is required. The teaching environment includes small class sizes, maxing out at 10 students per classroom. Each classroom has a lead and an assistant teacher assigned; when substituting, you will fill in for the assistant teacher position. Great hours and fun working environment. Serious inquiries only.
Teacher - Experience with creating hands-on, meaningful, engaging lessons and working with special needs students is ideal. Ability to understand students with a variety of learning styles and differentiation of lessons to meet individual needs is required. Low student/teacher ratio of 1:5 with a bachelor's level trained full time assistant teacher in each classroom as part of the teaching team. We offer small class size, great resources and excellent benefits. Duties include planning and implementing instruction for special needs students, differentiation in instruction, IEP case management and mentoring of students. The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic instructional team with an emphasis on collaboration to create exceptional outcomes for students. MSDE licensure is preferred, however a tuition free pathway to licensure is available for eligible candidates through our master's degree program with Notre Dame of Maryland University.

Candidates should also be passionate about sharing their knowledge to improve a student's educational and social growth with families and a dynamic team of professionals. A masters degree in speech pathology is required. Supervision for CFY is available on site. Ability to work with a variety of students, families and team members is a must.
