Transition Specialist - This position oversees the post-secondary goals of students, develops, and implements individual community work experiences for students and assists with accessing post-secondary services, employment, or higher education as appropriate. The ideal candidate will have at least two years' experience in transition or providing community-based supports to individuals with disabilities and the ability to assist individuals in refining job goals, job development and job training. A good understanding of federal, state, and local programs that provide available community supports for independence. Familiarity with eligibility and applying for services is a must. Individual should be familiar with developing and implementing IEP/Transition plans. This position is part of a larger, dynamic post-secondary team and the ability to collaborate is important. It is a fast paced environment that requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, attention to detail and willingness to collaborate with others. A bachelor's degree is required.

Speech/Language Pathologist - 

At The Harbour School, we believe each student deserves the chance to not only learn, but to thrive!  If you are passionate about helping special education students in grades 1-12 and want to work with a highly skilled team of Speech & Language Pathologists, you'll fit right in.  At Harbour, we value teamwork and collaboration.  You would be joining a team of 5-6 speech therapists who work alongside teachers and related services providers to create an individualized education plan (IEP) tailored to each student's needs

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Eligible for licensure in the state of Maryland
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship (CF).  On-site supervision is available.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an individual caseload of 25-30 students with a variety of speech and language disorders.
  • Develop and implement individual speech and language goals.
  • Provide direct services in individual and group sessions, in a pull-out setting or within the classroom.
  • Administer and interpret a variety of tests used to evaluate speech and language skills.
  • Work collaboratively with each student's IEP team to develop and implement their IEPs.

Salary Range

  • $64,000 - $65,440 per year - Full Time
