Assistant Teacher - Assistant teachers are an active participant in the teaching team in each classroom, providing direct instruction and support to special needs students.  A minimum of a bachelor's degree in education or a related field is required, preferably with experience working with children.  Duties include providing instruction under the supervision of the lead teacher, assisting with classroom management, implementing lessons and working directly with students developing social skills as well as assisting with social emotional learning.  This position is part of a dynamic team working toward creating exceptional educational outcomes for students with special needs.  Small class sizes allow the teaching teams to make a meaningful difference in educating special needs students.  This is an 11 month position paid over 12 months.  We offer a competitive salary, liberal leave policy, excellent health benefits and retirement plan, as well as an opportunity for a tuition free masters degree for qualified staff.

 

CRD Teacher - Seeking a dynamic lead high school CRD teacher in Annapolis.  The ideal candidate will have experience in creating hands-on, meaningful, engaging career exploration lessons.  Previous experience with special needs students is preferred.  Ability to understand students with a variety of learning styles and ability to differentiate lessons to meet individual needs is required.  We offer small class sizes with a bachelor's level trained assistant in each classroom.  Duties include planning and implementing instruction, differentiation of instruction, IEP case management and mentoring students.  The successful candidate will work as part of a positive and energetic instructional team with an emphasis on collaboration to create exceptional outcomes for students.  MSDE certification is preferred, however a tuition free pathway to certification is available for eligible candidates. Librarian/Media Assistant - Seeking a qualified Librarian/Media Assistant for the school media center at our Annapolis campus.  The qualified candidate will have a masters degree in library science.  We are looking for an individual who has experience creating unique and engaging programming for students with special needs in 1st through 12th grade.  Duties include facilitating activities for students and staff that encourage use of the media center, working collaboratively to ensure that the media collection meets MSDE guidelines and serves as a resource for staff and students.  The Librarian/Media Assistant will also research and purchase new material for the media collection.  This position is part of a dynamic team working toward creating exceptional educational outcomes for students with special needs.  We maintain small class sizes in a pleasant work environment.  This is an 11 month position paid over 12 months.  We offer a competitive salary, liberal leave policy, excellent health benefits and retirement plan.  

 

Substitute Teacher -  A bachelors degree is required.  The teaching environment includes small class sizes, maxing out at 10 students per classroom.  Each classroom has a lead and an assistant teacher assigned; when substituting, you will fill in for the assistant teacher position. Job Coach - Seeking a confident, independent self-starter to join our dynamic postsecondary team and provide job coaching services to high school students with special needs in the community. The ideal candidate will have experience working with special needs populations, will be comfortable working with a variety of individuals and act as an excellent role model for our students. Duties include supervising students in community job sites, communicating with local employers and school staff about progress and documentation as needed. Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record to be able to drive students using school vehicles. Travel is local within about 20 miles of the school campus in Owings Mills. Bachelor's degree is preferred. 

 

Speech/Language Pathologist -

The successful candidate for this position will have a thorough understanding of how communication functions within the brain and will be capable of developing treatment plans that are tailored to the needs of the student. Candidates should also be passionate about sharing their knowledge to improve a student's educational and social growth with families and a dynamic team of professionals. A masters degree in speech pathology is required. Supervision for CFY is available on site. Ability to work with a variety of students, families and team members is a must. This is an 11 month position paid over 12 months. We offer a liberal leave policy with paid personal leave and school holidays, as well as outstanding health and retirement benefits. Salary commensurate with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Treat a variety of students with speech and language disorders and challenges in individual and group sessions.

  • Assess, develop and implement individual speech and language goals.

  • Work with a dynamic school team to create and implement programming that leads to educational and social growth.

  • Administer and interpret tests used to evaluate speech and language skills; counsel patients on the effects of their disorders.
