Assistant Teacher - Assistant Teachers are an active participant in the teaching team in each classroom, providing direct instruction and support to special needs students. Duties include providing instruction under the supervision of the lead teacher, assisting with classroom management, implementing lessons and working directly with students to develop social skills, as well as assisting with social emotional learning. This position is part of a dynamic team working toward creating exceptional educational outcomes for students with special needs. Small class sizes allow the teaching teams to make a meaningful difference in educating special needs students. The qualified candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field and preferably have experience working with children. 

Our outstanding benefits package includes comprehensive medical, dental and vision coverage with Harbour paying 60% of the cost of premiums for the first two years.  The school's contribution increases by 5% each year until the school is paying 75% of the premium in year five. At ten years of service, health benefits are at no cost to the employee.
